Matador NYC meet-up kicks off new offline events

Mashup of meet-up participants

Last month, I hosted a first of what will be many Matador meet-ups.

Though most which is Matador exists online, weve regularly dreamed of bringing people together offline, too.

Thats regularly happened upon a not as big scale people whove met through Matador get together upon their own when they happen to be flitting through a single anothers cities but we wanted to start bringing people together in areas where we have a critical mass in order to meet in person.

Last month, I hosted a first of these meet-ups with a different organisation of Matadorians who live in as well as around New York City. There was Robert Hirschfield, whos a unchanging writer to a Travelers Notebook; Eve Hyman, a long-time Matadorian whos not long ago back from an expat stint in Buenos Aires; Jessica Stuart, who did a little critical hero work upon Matadors Haiti earthquake response back in January; Norbert Figueroa, an designer as well as MatadorU writing student; Spencer Spellman, a transport blogger behind The Traveling Philosopher; Alisha Miranda, a force who orderly Matadors as well as SoSauces NYC party final summer; as well as a handful of editors as well as other friends.

We collected together around a glow at a Hudson Hotels Library Bar as well as got so in to the review which we forgot to order drinks or take a photo. Cant discuss it we what we talked about, yet youve gotta come to a meet-up for that.

Good times.

Meet-ups have been scheduled for Boston (December 13) as well as Chicago (January 13).

Want to know if a meet-ups entrance to your city? Keep your eye upon Matador Radar for announcements.
